This is my first blog entry for Emerson’s college Interactive News class–JR608–hosted on WordPress.com. Our instructor is Karla Vallance–you can see her blog here–and we meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:45 P.M. on the sixth floor of Emerson College’s Walker building, in downtown Boston right next to the Common.
Who am I? Why, I’m Michael Nadeau, 22-year old graduate student at Emerson, born in Boston, native of Connecticut, current resident of Brookline. I graduated from Vernon Township High School in Vernon, New Jersey (class of 2002) and Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey in 2005 (B.A. in Communications).
Now, I’m up here in Boston, studying print and multimedia journalism. When I’m not overwhelmed with work and school, I just drink and chat with friends, play guitar, read, write–and collect movies.
I have a lot of movies. A lot of them. My uncle was an avid film collector, and he got me started when I was about five years old, giving me VHS copies of his favorite old World War Two films–The Guns of Navarone, Kelly’s Heroes, Where Eagles Dare, Battle of Britian. Ever since then, most of my disposable income went towards building up first an impressive VHS collection, and now a pretty good DVD collection.
Here you’ll find reviews and news and chatter all about DVDs–ones I own, ones coming out, ones I hope to see in the future. So, enjoy, and keep checking. We have to update this thing a lot.
Want to see the list of movies I own?
If you want, add me on Myspace or Facebook. I’m all over the internets!
What else…oh, here’s the Internet Movie Database, the best movie site out there.
